Innkeeper VR is a single-player game available on Meta Quest (Horizon Store) and Steam. We access only the platform data required to make the game run, perform entitlement checks, and attribute achievements.
1) Data we access
1.1) On Meta Quest (Horizon Store)
- User ID
- User Profile (Horizon username and profile photo, read-only)
- Deep Linking (enabled as a Platform SDK requirement for Meta Achievements; we do not pass User IDs through deep links)
1.2) On Steam
- Platform account identifier (SteamID) used by Steamworks Achievements.
We do not receive payment details; purchases and refunds are processed by the platform store.
2) Why we use it (purposes)
- Entitlement check: verify that the signed-in account owns the app shortly after launch.
- Achievements: associate achievement operations and progress with the current signed-in account.
- Deep Linking: enabled as a required Data Use Checkup permission for Meta Achievements; User IDs are not passed through deep links.
We do not use this data for advertising, user tracking, or profiling.
3) How we handle it
- Storage: Meta User ID, Horizon username, and profile photo are read at runtime and processed on-device. The username and profile photo are not displayed in the game or stored on our servers. SteamID is used through Steamworks for achievements. We do not maintain separate player databases for the game.
- Sharing: We do not sell or share platform data with third parties.
- Retention: Because we generally do not keep server-side player records, there is no fixed retention for platform IDs beyond what is necessary to operate the features above. If server logs or support records include such identifiers, we delete or de-identify them when no longer needed.
4) Your choices and deletion
- Requests: Any user may request deletion of any data we hold at any time, free of charge, by emailing contact@moonhaven.games with the subject “Data Deletion – Innkeeper VR”.
5) Children
Innkeeper VR is intended for users 13+ (or the applicable minimum age in your region under platform rules). We do not knowingly collect data from younger users.
6) Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (least-privilege access, encryption in transit, auditing). No method is perfect; if you believe a security issue affects you, contact us.
7) International transfers
If we use service providers outside your country, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
8) Changes
We will update this policy as needed and post a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
Summary of Platform Use (for clarity):
- Meta Horizon: User ID and read-only User Profile are used only for entitlement checks and achievements. Deep Linking is enabled as a required permission for Achievements; User IDs are not passed through deep links.
- Steam: SteamID is used only to attribute Steamworks Achievements.
- We do not build marketing profiles, do not run targeted ads, and do not sell personal data.
